Where the Kamvas 16 wins
- Color you can trust. Measured color on the Kamvas matches what Huion claims. On the XPPen, measured Adobe RGB came in far below the claim.
- More in the box. The Amazon version has a real adjustable stand, a USB-C cable, the 3-in-1 cable and a power adapter.
- Controls on the screen. Six keys and two dials sit on the frame, so there's nothing to lose or charge.
Where the Artist Pro 16 wins
- The pen. Both pens are very good. The XPPen gets a little more praise for accuracy.
- The remote. Ten keys and a dial on a wireless remote you can put anywhere.
- A taller canvas. The 16:10 screen is about 18 mm taller, for roughly 8% more drawing space.
Where they're the same
Sharpness is a tie, at 186 vs 189 pixels per inch. Both are dim, at around 200 to 240 nits in practice. Neither has touch. Both run on one USB-C cable if your computer supports it.
My pick
For most people, I'd pick the Kamvas 16 (Gen 3). The color is right, the stand adjusts, and you get every cable you need. The Artist Pro 16 is the better choice if you live on shortcuts and want the remote, or if you just want the nicest pen at this size.
